If you have a business website running on WordPress, it’s wise to have a solid security plan in place. I offer several annual options, starting with basic Wordfence Premium setup and alert checks, right through to plans that include regular backups, monthly updates, or extra support for WooCommerce and eCommerce sites. The best plan for you depends on how your website works and how much attention it needs.
Protect Your WordPress Website for the Year Ahead
Our annual WordPress security plans help reduce risk, improve visibility of security issues, and give your website a clearer pathway to recovery if something goes wrong.

Is Your WordPress Website Properly Protected?
WordPress is a good choice for most businesses, but because it’s so widely used, it does attract its share of unwanted attention. Automated attacks, plugin problems, fake login attempts, malware, and spam are all things we see regularly.
Most business owners want their website to be secure, but the real challenge is finding the time to stay on top of it all. It’s easy to fall behind on updates, miss a failed backup, or not notice a security alert until it turns into a bigger issue.
If your website is hacked, it can quickly stop enquiries, damage trust, hurt sales, and sometimes even trigger warnings from browsers or Google. Security isn’t just about blocking hackers. It’s about keeping your business running, looking after your customers, and having a practical way to recover if something does go wrong.
-
Automated attacks & botsWordPress is the world's most-used CMS — and a constant target.
-
Fake login attemptsBrute-force and credential stuffing happen quietly in the background.
-
Missed alertsFailed backups, plugin issues and warnings can slip past busy owners.
Practical WordPress Security Support for Business Websites
Our WordPress security plans are designed for small business owners who want proper protection, but don’t have the time or interest to handle all the technical details themselves.
We can handle the Wordfence Premium licence for you, set up the right security settings, keep an eye on important alerts, and, depending on your plan, take care of backups, monthly updates, or extra support for WooCommerce sites.
This is more than just installing a plugin. The aim is to make your website harder to break into, easier to monitor, and to give you the right level of ongoing support for your setup.

Choose the Right Level of Website Security
Not every website needs the same level of care. A simple brochure site is very different from a busy WooCommerce store, and sites that change often need more attention than those that stay the same. That’s why I offer four annual security plans.

Wordfence Setup & Notification Review — $347/year +T GS
Our entry-level plan is for those who want Wordfence Premium set up and renewed each year, with basic checks on security alerts. It gives your site a stronger first line of defence and helps make sure important warnings don’t get missed.
Best suited to: small business websites, brochure websites, service business websites, and websites that do not change very often.
Includes:
- Wordfence Premium licence for one WordPress website
- Wordfence installation and initial setup
- Basic security configuration
- Firewall and scan settings review
- Security notification setup
- Basic review of Wordfence alerts
- Advice if further action is required
Important: This plan does not include website backups, plugin updates, malware removal, hacked-site repair, emergency recovery work, or general WordPress maintenance. If an issue is detected that requires hands-on repair or investigation, we will advise you and quote separately where required.
Annual Protection
Security + Backups — $497/year + GST
Security alerts matter, but being able to recover quickly is just as important. This plan includes everything in the first plan, plus regular website backups. It’s a good fit for businesses where downtime would be a hassle and getting back online quickly is important if something goes wrong.
Best suited to: business websites that need protection plus a safer recovery option if something breaks, is compromised, or needs to be restored.
Includes everything in the Wordfence Setup & Notification Review plan, plus:
- Scheduled website backups
- Backup configuration and review
- Improved recovery options if the website needs to be restored
- Additional protection against data loss
Please note: This plan does not include monthly plugin, theme or WordPress core updates unless separately arranged.
Annual Protection
Managed Security + Monthly Updates — $997/year + GST
Many WordPress security problems start with outdated plugins, themes, or WordPress itself. This plan is for business owners who want their site checked and updated each month, with backups and security alerts managed as part of a regular service.
Best for active business sites, lead-generation or membership sites, and any website where security, uptime, and stability are important.
Includes everything in the Security + Backups plan, plus:
- Monthly WordPress plugin updates
- Theme updates where appropriate
- WordPress core updates where appropriate
- Basic post-update website check
- Review of visible front-end issues after updates
- Priority attention if a security issue is detected
A quick note on updates: Sometimes, WordPress updates can cause problems because of third-party plugins, themes, or custom code. I carry out updates carefully and check the site afterwards, but if extra repair work is needed outside the usual update process, we’ll let you know and quote separately if required.
Annual Protection
WooCommerce / eCommerce Security — $1,997/year + GST
WooCommerce sites need more attention because they do more than just show information. They handle orders, customer accounts, payments, emails, and usually have more plugins running. This plan adds extra security support focused on eCommerce for online stores.
Best suited to: WooCommerce stores, online shops, websites taking payments, sites with customer accounts, and WordPress websites where checkout, cart or order functionality is business-critical.
Includes everything in the Managed Security + Monthly Updates plan, plus:
- Extra care with WooCommerce-related updates
- Additional review after updates
- Checkout and cart awareness during maintenance
- Faster attention when store issues come up, because problems can affect sales directly
- Closer monitoring of security alerts that relate to eCommerce features

What Is Not Included Unless Specifically Stated
To keep things clear and fair, the following are not included unless they are listed in your plan or quoted separately:

- Repairing a website that was already hacked before the plan began
- Premium plugin licences other than Wordfence Premium
- Paid theme renewals or theme licences
- Website hosting fees, domain renewals or email hosting
- Content updates, page changes, design changes or SEO work
- Major development work or custom code repairs
- Fixing unrelated plugin conflicts or pre-existing website errors
- Emergency after-hours support unless separately arranged
What If My Website Is Hacked?
No security service can honestly promise a website will never be targeted or compromised. These plans are about reducing risk, improving monitoring, keeping better recovery options in place, and responding properly if something does happen.
If your website is already hacked or infected before starting a plan, I will need to quote separately for the clean-up before the annual security service can begin.
If you are on a Managed Security or WooCommerce Security plan and your WordPress site is compromised while I am actively managing it, I will help restore or repair the site as part of your plan. This depends on reasonable use, having good backups, suitable access, and the issue being within the WordPress site itself.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this include Wordfence Premium?
Yes. Each plan includes the Wordfence Premium licence for one WordPress website.
Does this guarantee my website will never be hacked?
No. No reputable security provider can guarantee that. These plans are designed to reduce risk, improve monitoring, maintain better recovery options, and provide a clearer support pathway if something goes wrong.
What if my website is already infected?
A separate clean-up quote may be required before the annual security plan can begin. This helps ensure the site starts from a known, stable position.
Do all plans include backups?
No. Backups begin from the Security + Backups plan.
Do all plans include monthly updates?
No. Monthly updates are included in the Managed Security + Monthly Updates plan and the WooCommerce / eCommerce Security plan.
Why is WooCommerce more expensive?
WooCommerce websites involve orders, payments, customer accounts, checkout, shipping, product data and often more plugins. They require more careful handling because downtime or update problems can directly affect sales.
Do I still need website hosting?
Yes. These are WordPress security plans, not hosting plans. Hosting fees are separate unless specifically stated.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes. Clients can start with a lower-level plan and upgrade if they later need backups, monthly updates or eCommerce-level support.
