Sometimes it’s good to change direction.

A change of direction can move you from harms way. It can reveal new possibilities. It can bring opportunity. Most of us however, once set, don’t like to change direction.

We like to believe our best idea *is* the best idea. We like to believe that the direction we’ve chosen *is* the right direction.

And we don’t like to be wrong!

Of course, “wrong” is subjective, as is winning, as is losing.

Sometimes while I enjoy my morning coffee I watch my blank computer screen as it changes each few moment from one wallpaper image to the next. These three images are part of my ‘mind matters’ set. They all have quotes that challenge me and set me to asking questions that cannot easily be answered.

Perhaps they can do the same for you. I believe that each of us in business should spend at least 5 minutes a day engaged in what I call “strategic thinking”.
