No, not at all. The key here is to make sure that you don’t “list” in them all overnight – that’s not good. Once you are listed with the larger directories it is best to then employ someone else to register you for the others – however, make sure that they doing it gradually, over 4 – 6 weeks… never all at once. That would be silly, you are right on the mark there.

I should also add that it’s also very important to have at least *some* actual traffic to your site before you start the scheduled submissions. G. will think it very odd that you have tons of inbound links but no traffic. It must be managed carefully and gradually.

I was searching for information to support one of the articles I was writing when I stumbled upon your blog and you are SO RIGHT! There is SO much opportunity to bring offline businesses online and there are tons of web designers who don’t know about Marketing.

I’ve seen countless websites that don’t have opt-in forms created by web designers and it drives me batty to think that these customers are losing out on the opportunity to generate leads from their website.
